Removing

• ‒ Drain coolant .
• ‒ Remove alternator.

=> Electrical System; Repair group 27

• ‒ → Detach connector -1-.
• ‒ Disconnect hoses -2- and -3- at the secondary air pump.
• ‒ Detach the secondary air pump -4- from the bracket.

• ‒ → Unscrew bolts -1...4- of the secondary air pump bracket.
• ‒ Lay the wiring aside -arrow- and remove the secondary air pump bracket.

• ‒ → Disconnect electrical connectors:

•     1 -    Knock sensor -G61
•     2 -    Engine speed sender -G28
•     3 -    Ignition coils -N and -N128 with output stage -N122
•     4 -    Oil pressure switch -F1 (on oil filter bracket)
•      -    Oil temperature sender -G8 (on oil filter bracket)

• ‒ Lay wiring aside.

• ‒ Detach ignition coil from bracket.
• ‒ → Remove bracket -3- for ignition coil.
• ‒ Disconnect the coolant hoses -arrows- at the coolant pipe.
• ‒ Remove bolts -1- and -2- and detach coolant pipe.

Installing

Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:

Replace seals and gaskets.

• ‒ Install alternator.
