Testing oil pressure and oil pressure switch > < Removing and installing sump

Removing and installing parts of the lubrication system

Removing

  • ‒ Remove sump and baffle plate
    .
  • ‒ → Unscrew bolt -2-.
  • ‒ Detach sprocket from oil pump shaft.
  • ‒ Unscrew bolts -1- and -3- and remove oil pump.

Installing

Install in reverse sequence; note the following points:

  • ‒ Fit dowel sleeves -Item 17-4 on top of oil pump.
    • ‒ Chain sprocket can only be fitted in one position on oil pump shaft.
  • ‒ Install sump => Page 17-13.
