Checking wire for fuel tank level signal
Notes:
-
◆ The fuel tank level signal is supplied to the engine control unit by the dash panel insert.
-
◆ The conditioned signal is received at contact 30 of the engine control unit and used to establish the cause of certain faults detected (e.g. misfiring).
-
‒ Connect test box V.A.G 1598/31 to engine control unit wiring harness. Actual engine control unit is not to be connected=>Page 24-12.

‒ Check for open circuit and short to earth/positive in the following wiring:
