- Excess voltage from - assisted start - Defective alternator
- Read measured value block, Display Group 003, display zone 2

- Battery discharged - Current drain when ignition is off
- Check battery charge level
Notes on fault code 00532:
-
◆ If the fault is shown as a sporadic fault, ignore the fault message on the display. This fault is often stored when the engine is left idling for a long period with a number of electrical consumers switched on and causing heavy discharging of the battery.
-
◆ The fault message "Signal too low" is stored if the supply voltage falls below 10.00 V for more than 1 second. (The control unit will not function at less than 6.5 V.)
-
◆ The unit does not check for low signals when the engine is being started since the voltage may fall below 10.00 V during starting.

Note on fault code 16500:
The temperature curve between 20°C and 60°C is compared with a model temperature curve stored in the control unit. The model curve rises less sharply than the actual curve. If there is a fault which causes the actual temperature to rise too slowly, the real valueswill coincide with those in the model curve at a certain point. The engine control unitrecognisesthe fault as implausible.
