B - Electronic throttle warning lamp K132 illuminates continuously > < Functional check of warning lamp

A - Electronic throttle warning lamp K132 does not illuminate
A - Electronic throttle warning lamp -K132- does not illuminate
–  Connect test box -V.A.G 1598/31- to wiring harness for engine control unit. Do not connect engine control unit → Chapter.
–  Use leads from adapter set -V.A.G 1594 A- to bridge contacts 1 and 73 at test box.
–  Switch on ignition.
t  The fault lamp must illuminate
If the warning lamp does not illuminate:
–  Switch off ignition.
–  Remove dash panel insert, then test bulb or LED and its voltage supply. → Electrical System; Repair group 90; Dash panel insert; Removing and installing dash panel insert
If no fault is found:
–  Check for open circuit and short to positive in the following wiring connection:

73. → Current flow diagrams, Electrical fault finding and Fitting locations

–  Rectify any open/short circuit as necessary.
If the wiring is OK:
–  Replace the engine control unit → Chapter.
