ABS, ABS/EDL and ABS/EDL/TCS ITT Mark 20 without ESP

Audi A3, model year 1997

t	1997 model year vehicles without ESP are equipped with ABS or ABS/EDL ITT Mark 20 GI.

Audi A3, from model year 1998 onwards

t	Vehicles from model year 1998 onwards without ESP are equipped with ABS, ABS/EDL or ABS/EDL/TCS ITT Mark 20 IE.

t	The control unit can be coded for active engine braking control function on vehicles with the corresponding engine version → Chapter.

t	The data signals are transmitted via CAN bus.

Identification features of vehicles with and without EDL:

-I- Vehicles with ABS, not equipped with EDL:

t	Dimension -a- = 100 mm

t	8 valve domes

-II- Vehicles with ABS and EDL (and TCS where applicable):

t	Dimension -a- = 130 mm

t	10 valve domes

Note

The protective sleeves for the valves become visible when the control unit is separated from the hydraulic unit → Brake system; Rep. Gr.45.
