Removing and installing magnetic field sender (compass)G197

Removing and installing magnetic field sender (compass) -G197-

Note!

Observe action to be taken if magnetic field sender (compass) is replaced → Chapter.

–	Switch off all electrical equipment.

–	Remove ignition key.

Removing:

–	Remove interior light → Electrical system; Rep. Gr.96.

–	Remove rear end trim of headliner → General body repairs, Interior; Rep. Gr.70.

–	Carefully fold back moulded headliner slightly to front.

Connector -2- of magnetic field sender -1- is located on right next to connector point for roof aerial -3-.

–	Unfasten expanding clips and detach magnetic field sender -1- with retaining plate.

Installing:

–	Install accordingly in reverse order of removal.

–	Ensure horizontal attachment of magnetic field sender with retaining plate.
