| Production diagnosis is a special mode for checking the wiring and correct functioning of the navigation system. It involves automatic checking of the individual fault locations, filing of the result in the so-called function status register (measured value block 007) and permanent storage. |
| Production diagnosis can be disabled/enabled by way of "Adaption" (channel 03) → Chapter. |
| Production diagnosis is also disabled when a navigation CD is inserted. |
| The “Erasing fault memory” function also resets the function status register. |
