–	Press keys 0 and 7 (07 is used to select “Encoding control unit” function).

Indicated on display:

–	Enter code number as per encoding table → Chapter.

Code: 00124

t	0 = Not used, always 0

t	Vehicle type: 0 = A3

t	Voice control/multi-function steering wheel: 1 = no voice control, with multi-function steering wheel

t	Navigation system: 2 = Navigation system II-D

t	Radio system: 4 = Radio system without CAN bus or navigation system II-D

Control unit identification and code entered (0000124) appears on display.

Indicated on display:

–	Press → key to terminate encoding.
