Dismantling and assembling selector unit Special tools and workshop equipment required

t  Tube -T10203-

t  Tube -VW 423-

Removing locking pin -A- from selector mechanism cover –  Remove outer part of retaining pin. –  Then lever out locking pin carefully using a screwdriver.

Pressing locking pin -A- into selector mechanism cover Installation position: Marking -arrow- points to upper section of selector shaft.

Installing oil seal (insert onto stop)

Installing gearbox selector lever –  When installing gearbox selector lever, make sure that the gap in the splines -arrow A- aligns with the wider spline -arrow B- on the selector shaft.
