Renewing input shaft oil seal when gearbox is not dismantled
Renewing input shaft oil seal when gearbox is not dismantled
Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Extractor tool -T20143/1-
  W00-2958
t  Thrust piece -T40008-
t  Sealing grease -G 052 128 A1-
–  Remove gearbox → Chapter.
–  Remove release bearing → Chapter.
  W00-1002
–  Prise out input shaft oil seal using extractor tool -T20143/1-.
  Note
Take care not to damage contact surface for oil seal on input shaft.
  A34-0614
–  Pack space between sealing lip and dust lip -arrow- half-full with sealing grease -G 052 128 A1-.
  N32-0001
–  Drive oil seal in onto stop using thrust piece -T40008-.
–  Install release bearing → Chapter.
–  Install gearbox → Chapter.
