Removing and installing selector mechanism cover (vehicles with fixed selector mechanism cover)
Removing and installing selector mechanism cover (vehicles with fixed selector mechanism cover)
   
Removing
–  Remove selector lever handle → Chapter.
–  Switch off ignition.
–  Open ashtray in centre console.
–  Lift off selector lever cover -arrows-.
  A37-0491
–  Release the 4 retainers -arrows- and lift off the cover -1- including the guide.
–  Unplug electrical connector.
Installing
Installation is carried out in reverse sequence; note the following:

When attaching the electrical connector make sure the contact pins on the printed circuit are not bent and that the retaining lugs on the cover do not break off.
–  Install selector lever handle → Chapter.
