There is a sticker on the timing chain cover indicating the “Engine code” and “Serial number”-arrow-.
The engine code is also indicated on the vehicle data stickers.

If the sticker is missing, perform the following work steps to read off the “Engine code” and the “Serial number”:
–  Remove battery → Rep. Gr.27.
–  Remove battery tray -arrows-.

–  Read off the engine code letters and serial number on the left-side of the cylinder block -arrow-.
