Removing
–  Remove engine cover panel -arrows-.

–  Lift out activated charcoal filter from retainer -arrow- with pipes connected and lay aside.

Before removing, mark direction of rotation of poly V-belt with chalk or felt-tipped pen. If the belt runs in the opposite direction when it is refitted, this can cause breakage.
–  Turn the tensioner in the direction of the -arrow- to slacken the poly V-belt.

–  Lock poly V-belt tensioner using locking pin -T10060 A-.
–  Remove poly V-belt.
Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:

Before fitting poly V-belt, make sure all mechanical units (e.g. alternator and air conditioner compressor) are firmly in position.

–  Vehicles without air conditioner: Fit poly V-belt on pulleys of crankshaft and alternator and release tensioner.
  N13-0755
–  Vehicles with air conditioner: Fit poly V-belt on pulleys of crankshaft, air conditioner compressor and finally alternator and release tensioner.
–  Check poly V-belt for proper seating.
–  Start engine and check that belts run properly.
