Removing and installing oil pressure switchF1

Removing and installing oil pressure switch -F1-

Special tools and workshop equipment required

t	Used oil collection and extraction unit -V.A.G 1782-

Removing

–	Lift engine cover panel at sides -arrows 1- and pull off towards front -arrow 2-.

–	Remove air intake hose -arrow- from between lock carrier and air cleaner housing.

Note

Place a cloth below the oil filter housing to catch escaping oil.

–	Unplug electrical connector at oil pressure switch -F1--arrow-.

–	Unscrew oil pressure switch.

Installing

Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:

Renew seal.

–	Check oil level and fill up with engine oil if necessary → Chapter.
