Removing and installing charge air cooler
Removing and installing charge air cooler
Removing
–  Remove radiator → Chapter.
–  Remove front bumper → Rep. Gr.63.
–  Remove air ducts on left and right at charge air cooler.
  WARNING
The air conditioner refrigerant circuit must not be opened.
  Note
To prevent damage to the condenser and refrigerant pipes/hoses, ensure that the pipes and hoses are not stretched, kinked or bent.
   
–  Unscrew securing bolts -2- for the condenser.
–  Unscrew bolts -1- at charge air cooler.
–  Swing charge air cooler slightly to rear.
–  Detach charge air cooler upwards and remove from below.
Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:
–  Install front bumper → Rep. Gr.63.
–  Adhere to the instructions for installing air pipes and hoses with plug-in connectors → Chapter.
–  Install radiator → Chapter.
