Removing
  WARNING
Hot steam/hot coolant can escape - risk of scalding.
t  The cooling system is under pressure when the engine is hot.
t  To allow pressure to dissipate, cover filler cap on coolant expansion tank with cloth and open carefully.
–  Open filler cap on coolant expansion tank.
–  Remove charge air cooler → Chapter.
–  Remove radiator cowl → Chapter.

–  Place drip tray for workshop hoist -VAS 6208- beneath engine.
–  Lift retaining clip -arrow-, disconnect coolant hose (bottom) from radiator and drain off coolant.

–  Lift retaining clip -arrow- and disconnect coolant hose (top) from radiator.

–  Remove bolts -arrows-.
–  Swivel top edge of radiator slightly to rear.
–  Lift radiator out of bottom mounting points.
–  Push radiator towards engine.
–  Support radiator from below to prevent radiator from dropping.

  WARNING
Risk of injury caused by refrigerant.
The air conditioner refrigerant circuit must not be opened.
  Caution
Make sure that condenser and refrigerant pipes and hoses are not damaged.
Do NOT stretch, kink or bend refrigerant lines and hoses.
–  Remove bolts -arrows-.
–  Disconnect condenser from radiator.
–  Move condenser to front and place in lock carrier, then secure with cable ties to prevent from dropping.
–  Take out radiator downwards
Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:
l  Tightening torques → Chapter „Radiator and radiator fans - exploded view“
  Note
If there are slight impressions on the fins, refer to → Chapter.
–  Install condenser → Rep. gr.87.
–  Install radiator cowl → Chapter.
–  Connect coolant hose with plug-in connector to radiator → Fig..
–  Install charge air cooler → Chapter.
–  Fill up with coolant → Anchor.
