Lambda probe 3 after catalytic converter G287 and Lambda probe heater 3 after catalytic converter Z64 > < Removing and installing NOx sensor control unit J583 and NOx sender G295
Removing and installing exhaust gas temperature sender 1G235
Removing and installing exhaust gas temperature sender 1 -G235-
Exhaust gas temperature sender 1 -G235- is not fitted on engines with code letters BLY, BMB, BHD, BLR, BVZ and BVY.
Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Lambda probe open ring spanner set -3337-
  W00-0206
Fitting location of connectors (arrow faces direction of travel)
1 - NOx sensor control unit -J583- (cable for control unit cannot be disconnected from NOx sender -G295-)
2 - Connector for exhaust gas temperature sender 1 -G235-
–  Unplug electrical connector for exhaust gas temperature sender 1 -G235-.

Fitting location of NOx sender and exhaust gas temperature sender
1 - NOx sender -G295- and NOx sender heater - Z44 - (“NOx” stands for oxides of nitrogen)
2 - Exhaust gas temperature sender 1 -G235-
Removing
–  Remove right-side cover from underbody.
–  Unscrew exhaust gas temperature sender 1 -G235--item 2- using tool from Lambda probe open ring spanner set -3337-.
Installing
When installing, note the following:
  Note
t  When installing, the cables must always be reattached at the same locations to prevent them from coming into contact with the exhaust pipe.
t  Tightening torque for exhaust gas temperature sender 1 -G235- is 45 Nm.
