Removing and installing NOx sensor control unit J583 and NOx sender G295 > < Removing and installing Lambda probe G39 (before catalytic converter)
Removing and installing exhaust gas temperature sender 1G235
Removing and installing exhaust gas temperature sender 1 -G235-
The exhaust gas temperature sender 1 -G235- is only fitted on engines with code letters BAG and BLP.
Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Lambda probe open ring spanner set -3337-
Removing
  W00-0206
Electrical connector -2- (engine code BAG)
  N24-1625
Electrical connector -arrow- (engine code BLP)
  Note
Electrical connector for exhaust gas temperature sender 1 -G235- is located behind underbody trim (right-side), near control unit for NOx sender -J583-.
–  Unplug electrical connector for exhaust gas temperature sender 1 -G235-.
–  Unscrew exhaust gas temperature sender 1 -G235- using Lambda probe open ring spanner set -3337-.
Installing
–  When installing, note the following:

t  When installing, the electrical wire for exhaust gas temperature sender 1 -G235- must always be reattached at the same locations to prevent it from coming into contact with the exhaust pipe.
t  Tightening torque: 45 Nm.
