Pry old O-rings very carefully off unit injector using a suitable tool of soft material.

Important: Ensure that no burrs are formed at the O-ring seats.
Installing

Always use the assembly sleeves to fit the O-rings. There is a danger of damaging the O-rings if the sleeves are not used. The procedure is the same for both types of assembly sleeve.

Take care to ensure correct allocation of O-rings to grooves.

Prevent the O-rings from rolling when sliding them on. The O-rings must not be twisted when seated on the unit injector.

Clean seating grooves for O-rings on unit injector very carefully.

Fit assembly sleeve -T10164/1- or assembly sleeve -T10308/1- onto unit injector, pushing it on as far as the stop.
Note
Push the O-rings into position when assembling: do not roll them on. They must not be twisted when seated in the groove on the unit injector.

Push upper (thicker) O-ring carefully onto assembly sleeve and into groove on unit injector.

Remove assembly sleeve.

Fit assembly sleeve -T10164/2- or assembly sleeve -T10308/2- onto unit injector, pushing it on as far as the stop.

Carefully push lower O-ring (marked white) onto assembly sleeve and into groove on unit injector.
