t  Load-bearing components or parts of the suspension must not be welded or straightened.
t  Always renew self-locking nuts.
t  Always renew corroded nuts/bolts.
   
1 - Cross member for steering column
2 - Mounting bracket
3 - Bolt
q   20 Nm
4 - Steering column
q   Removing and installing → Chapter
5 - Bolt
q   20 Nm
6 - Crash bar (brake pedal)
q   Not fitted on all country-specific versions
7 - Crash bar (clutch pedal)
q   Not fitted on all country-specific versions
8 - Brace
q   Not fitted on all models
9 - Bolt
q   Tightening torque → Rep. gr.70
10 - Nut
q   Tightening torque → Rep. gr.70
11 - Bolt
q   20 Nm + turn 90° further
q   Always renew if removed

12 - Bolt

q   Before securing, clip support onto steering column
