Removing

-

Remove driver side storage tray: => Body Interior

 68 Removal and Installation

-

Remove brake light switch by rotating it 45° toward left.

-

Remove brake light switch => [ Brake Light Switch ] See: Lighting and Horns/Brake Light Switch/Service and Repair.

-

Disconnect brake pedal from brake booster => [ Brake Pedal and Brake Booster, Separating ] See: Brake Pedal and Brake Booster, Separating. 

-

Remove hex bolt.

Installing

Installation is in reverse order of removal, with special attention to the following:

‹› Lubricate mounting points with Polyurea grease ( G 052 142 A2) before installing

=> [ Brake Pedal and Brake Booster, Separating ] See: Brake Pedal and Brake Booster, Separating Hold ball head of push rod in front of
mounting and push brake pedal in direction of brake booster, so the ball head engages audibly.

Install brake light switch => [ Brake Light Switch ] See: Lighting and Horns/Brake Light Switch/Service and Repair.

 Replace nuts
