Parking Brake Cable: Service and Repair

Parking Brake Cable

Removing

-

Disengage parking brake.

-

Remove rear ashtray from center console.

-

Fold trim piece (under ashtray) out toward rear.

-

Loosen adjustment nut - 2 - so far that the parking brake cable can be unhooked from compensator.

-

Pry off securing clip - 1 - for brake cable.

-

Press brake lever - 2 - in direction of -  arrow - and unhook parking brake cable - 3 -.

-

Remove bolt - 1 - and remove parking brake cable -  2 - from bracket of brake cable.
