Coolant Line/Hose: Service and Repair

Coolant Pipe

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Locking Pin (T10060 A)

Removing

‹› Drained coolant must be stored in a clean container for disposal or reuse.

CAUTION!
Observe safety precautions when disconnecting the battery.

Remove tool formed insert under luggage compartment floor covering. 

-

Remove cover - arrow - for battery compartment

-

Remove formed insert from over the battery.

-

With ignition switched off, disconnect Battery Ground (GND) cable -  arrow -.

Remove coolant thermostat housing. Refer to => [ Coolant Thermostat Housing ] See: Thermostat Housing/Service and Repair.

Remove oil dipstick.

‹› Identify direction of ribbed belt travel with chalk or felt-tip pen. A reversed direction of rotation can cause damage to the belt under operating

conditions.
