such a way that the recirculation door is open and the air flow door is closed in both control motor end stops. Recirculation Door Motor (V113)
stands approximately in the center position. Refer to=> [ Recirculation Flap Motor ] See: Description and Operation in fresh air mode
(recirculation door closed and air flow door open).

Connect connector - C - to motor - A -.

Route the wiring harness to connector - C - so that it cannot come in contact with any moving parts (e.g. with the lever on intake housing).

Insert control motor pin - E - into curved washer mount - F -.

‹› The pin of control motor shaft - E - may only by installed in the position in which it can be inserted without force in curved washer mount - F -. If

pin - E - can only be slid in with pre-load, check motor shaft, it may be offset by 270° and standing at the other stop.

‹› If pin of control motor shaft - E - is not in the position in which it can be inserted, connect control motor to vehicle wiring harness. Switch ignition

on and select a setting in which the control motor is brought to the center position (e.g. fresh air mode) on the A/C control head Climatronic
Control Module (J255). Wait until control motor has reached the desired position and then switch ignition off.

‹› If the pin on the control motor shaft - E - is not in the position in which it can be inserted, use an adapter cable from the Connector Test Kit

(V.A.G 1594/C). Refer to => [ Adapter Cable for Activating Control Motors ] See: Testing and Inspection/Component Tests and General
Diagnostics/Adapter Cable for Activating Control Motors Connect terminals "5" and "6" from the removed motor to a 12V battery using a 5 amp
fuse. Rotate control motor for as long until the shaft is located in a position in which it can be connected without initial force (approximately the
center position), the turning direction can be reversed by swapping Plus and Minus.

Place control motor - A - into mount - D -.

Install bolts - B -.

Reinstall all removed components in the opposite sequence while observing the following:

Check DTC memory of A/C control head Climatronic Control Module (J255) and erase malfunctions displayed if necessary. Vehicle Diagnosis,
Testing and Information System VAS 5051 in "Guided Fault Finding" function

Perform Basic Setting and output Diagnostic Test Mode (DTM) of A/C system and check DTC memory again. Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and
Information System VAS 5051 in "Guided Fault Finding" function

‹› In the event of problems with moisture in passenger compartment, additionally check recirculated-air door (must close completely).
