Dryer Cartridge, Denso Condenser
‹› The dryer cartridge - D - and the o-ring - B - are the same in all condenser versions. Should a repair set is not be available for the Denso
condenser, either replace the condenser completely or use the parts from the repair set from another condenser (in this example, from the repair set
from the Denso condenser installed in the Audi A4 from MY 2008). Clean the plastic screw - A -, the dryer carrier - C - and the filter - E - before
using them again.

Remove the plastic screw - A - (tightening specification: 2 Nm).
CAUTION!
‹› Refrigerant must be extracted from refrigerant circuit before removing sealing cap - A -. If the plastic screw - A - is not removed within
10 minutes, pressure may form in the refrigerant circuit due to evaporation. Extract refrigerant once more.
-
Check the refrigerant circuit pressure using a pressure gauge from the A/C Service Station A/C System with Refrigerant R134a
CAUTION!
Only remove the plastic screw - A - when the pressure in the refrigerant circuit is the same or less than the ambient pressure.
‹› Depending on the version of the vehicle (of the front end module) it may also be necessary to loosen the condenser from the front end module in
order to remove and install the dryer cartridge. Refer to => [ Condenser ]
-
Remove the dryer carrier - C - and the dryer cartridge - D - from the condenser.
