If measured value is 0 Ohms there is a short circuit. If measured value is infinite Ohms there is and open circuit in the wiring.

With fuel level sensor G removed, the following values are obtained because of the greater deflection of the floater arm:

Fuel Level Sensor G removed:

-

Sensor at lower stop: Approximately 290 Ohms.

-

Sensor at upper stop: Approximately 60 Ohms.

-

Connect multimeter between terminal - 3 - and - 4 - for resistance measurement.

Fuel Level Sensor G installed or removed:

-

Any sensor position: approximately 340 Ohms.

Assembly is in reverse order of removal, note the following:

Install rear seat bench.
