‹› The airbag unit securing screw - 3 - must be opposite the cut-out in bottom of steering column trim - 1 -.

Remove the bolt - 2 -.

Turn steering approx. 160° left and remove left airbag unit screw.

Bring steering wheel to center position (wheels straight).
CAUTION!
Before handling pyrotechnic components (e.g. disconnecting the electrical connector), the person handling it must "discharge static
electricity ". This can be done by touching door striker, for example.

Pull driver's airbag unit from steering wheel a bit.

Push connector lock - 3 - to stop - arrow -; this disconnects electrical connection - 2 - and it can be removed.

Remove airbag unit - 4 - from steering wheel.

If applicable, disconnect electrical connection - 1 -.
