Releases the connectors - arrows 2 - and disconnect them.

‹› The steering column with switch module removed is shown in the illustration.

Disconnect induction coil wire on steering column switch.

-

Remove steering column switch module from steering column.

Remove Steering Column Electronic Systems Control Module (J527) => [ Steering Column Electronic Systems Control Module ] See: Steering
Column Control Module/Service and Repair/Steering Column Switch Module.

Release retaining clips - arrows - and remove steering lock housing - 2 - from mount - 1 -.

Disconnect electrical connector on ignition switch.

In order to remove the steering lock housing, the starter switch and lock cylinder, and if equipped, the ignition key removal lock safety switch
electrical connector, must be removed.

‹› Remove ignition switch => [ Ignition Switch ].

‹› Remove lock cylinder => [ Lock Cylinder ].

‹› Remove ignition key removal lock safety switch => [ Ignition Switch Key Lock Solenoid ].
