Feeler gauge

Removing

NOTE:

-

Steering must be in center position (wheels in straight ahead position) when removing and installing coil connector with slip ring.

-

Remove Steering Column Electronic Systems Control Module J527 .

-

Carefully release fasteners - arrows - and pull Airbag Spiral Spring/Return Spring With Slip Ring - 1 - off steering column switch module.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal, noting the following:

-

Make sure all fasteners and electrical connectors are properly engaged.

Steering Angle Sensor

Removing

-

If the control module was replaced, select the "Replace" function for the respective control module in "Guided Fault Finding" or "Guided
Functions".

Select the function or path:

-

Follow further instructions on display of VAS 5051B .

-

Remove return spring with slip ring.

-

Remove Steering Angle Sensor G85 - arrow -.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:

-

The steering angle sensor must be adapted in "Guided Fault Finding" or "Guided Functions" after replacing the airbag spiral spring/return spring
with slip ring .

Select the function or path:

-

Follow further instructions on display of VAS 5051B .

Turn Signal Switch and Cruise Control Switch
