Remove pendulum support from transmission, remove bolts - 14 - to do so.

Place engine/transmission jack (VAG 1383 A) below subframe.

Place a block of wood - 1 - between engine/transmission jack (VAG 1383 A) and subframe.

Loosen bolts - 4 and 5 - and lower subframe with brackets slightly. Observe electrical wires when doing this.

Remove stabilizer bar - 1 - toward the front, over bracket - 2 - and down from the subframe.
