Pull plastic securing spring - 2 - slightly to front and push pin - 3 - upward only as far as necessary -  arrow -.

‹› This procedure is only possible if the selector lever is shifted into position "S".

‹› Make sure that pin is not pushed fully out.

Remove selector lever cable - 4 - from shift mechanism function unit.

‹› Take care not to bend or kink selector lever cable.

Installing

Install in reverse sequence; note the following points:

‹› Check protective sleeve for damage, protective sleeve can only be replaced together with selector lever cable.

‹› Check protective sleeve for correct seating and do not install protective sleeve twisted.

Torque specifications for bolts and nuts, and whether bolts and nuts are to be replaced, refer to => [ Selector Mechanism Assembly Overview ] See:

 Guide selector lever cable with protective sleeve into cover. Do not damage protective sleeve when doing this.

-

Insert end of selector lever cable - 4 - into joint of the selector lever.

Press pin - 3 - downward - arrow -. 

-

Check whether plastic securing spring - 2 - has locked the pin.

Install new securing clasp - 1 - for selector lever cable to shift mechanism function unit.
