CAUTION!
Risk of steering lock seizing.

‹› Do not actuate the steering lock without the lock cylinder. A blocked steering lock must be replaced.

‹› When replacing the lock cylinder, follow the instructions regarding the immobilizer induction coil.

Disconnect electrical harness connector at induction coil.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal, noting the following:

Insert the replacement key into the lock cylinder and turn it to the ignition "on" position.

Slide steel wire or pin - 1 - again into front side as far as stop.

Slide lock cylinder - 2 - with induction coil into steering lock housing - 3 -.

-

Then remove steel wire and press lock cylinder securely in until catch engages audibly.

Connect electrical connector to immobilizer induction coil.

Install the steering column switch module trim.
