Audi A4 workshop manuals
Audi A4 at a glance: 36 manuals, covering 1996 to 2011 models, with engines from 1.8 to 3.2 litres. Engine and chassis codes covered: AVK, BKH, AEB, ATW, AWM, BPG, CAEB, BWT, AHA, AMB, BGN, ACK, and 2 more.
About the A4
The A4 replaced the Audi 80 in 1994 and was made until 2025 over five generations, B5 to B9, continuing the 80's internal numbering. It was built on the Volkswagen Group B platform with a lengthwise engine, front-wheel drive or quattro all-wheel drive, as a saloon and estate (Avant); the B6 and B7 also came as a convertible.
What these manuals cover
- 1996–2001 (B5): the 2.8-litre V6 and the 1.8-litre turbo four.
- 2002–2004 (B6): the 3.0-litre V6, in sedan, wagon and cabriolet.
- 2005–2009 (B6 and B7): the 1.8 and 2.0-litre turbo fours and the 3.0 and 3.2-litre V6s, including the cabriolet.
- 2009–2011 (B8): the 2.0-litre turbo four.
- Also factory-style manuals for the A4 Mk1 to Mk3 and the Mk2 Cabriolet, arranged by system rather than by engine.
Tip: the letters in brackets are Audi's engine code (such as AEB or BKH). The same engines are used across the Volkswagen Group, so a VW manual with the same code covers the same engine.
