Special tools and workshop equipment required
t  Crêpe strip
   
Determining window immersion depth
l  Convertible top closed
–  Raise window.
–  With door open, affix crêpe strip -arrows- to window such that it overlaps.
–  Close door completely.
l  Dimension -a- = 80 mm
l  Dimension -b- = 40 mm
  Note
  A57-10049
Lift convertible top fabric -1- slightly at this point.
–  Make a mark -arrow- at the crêpe strip at front and rear directly beneath roof frame seal.
–  Open door.
–  Measure distance between mark and top end of window.
l  Front immersion depth: max. 5 mm
l  Rear immersion depth: max. 7 mm

Adjusting window immersion depth
–  Lower window.
–  Remove front and rear rubber plug -arrow- at bottom of door.
–  Insert a slim 4 mm Allen key through opening at door.
  Note
t  The windows can be roughly adjusted by slackening off the bolts → Item and → Item.
t  Insertion of Allen key does not involve removing door seal -1-.
–  Adjust window immersion depth at front and rear by turning the two lifter units evenly.
l  Clockwise direction = Greater immersion depth
l  1 turn corresponds to approx. 1.2 mm.
–  Seal openings with rubber plugs.
–  Raise window and measure amount of change.
–  Pay attention to parallel alignment with side window and adjust if necessary → Chapter.
