Removing:
–
Remove centre console extension.
→ Rep. Gr.68
–
Remove wheels.
–
Detach underbody panel on rear left and rear right and unclip handbrake cables.
–
Detach underbody panel (left-side) - approx. 8 bolts.
–
Detach inner underbody panel at exhaust pipe.
–
Detach exhaust at rear.
–
Pull out retaining clip
-1-
and unhook handbrake cables at brake caliper.
Note
Do not damage rubber boot for handbrake cable when removing and installing.

Unclip brake line

from retainer

Unclip handbrake cables

from fuel tank (clip)

Unclip handbrake cables

from retainer

Before installing new handbrake cables you must remove the handbrake lever and reset the mechanism.
Removing and installing handbrake lever

Installing

Clip on the handbrake cable until it engages.
Note
Where the cables cross, cable
-1-
must be located underneath cable

.

Clip cable into retainers provided.
–
The clip attachment on the retainer must be located between the two positioning rings

Tightening torque for Item
-2-
: 25 Nm
–
Secure handbrake cables to underbody and fuel tank.
Note
Do not damage rubber boot for handbrake cable when removing and installing.

Hook handbrake cable into brake caliper and insert retaining clip

.
–
Positioning rings
-1-
on cable should be inside clips on retainer.
–
Tightening torque for Item
-2-
: 25 Nm
–
Install heat shields.
–
Install centre console extension.

Adjust handbrake
