Removing and installing pistons for front brake caliper > < Brake caliper Brembo 18”

Servicing brake calipers
  Note
t  Use only methylated spirits to clean the brake caliper
t  Install complete repair kit when servicing.
t  New brake calipers are filled with brake fluid and are pre-bled.
t  Apply thin coat of lithium grease -G 052 150 A2- to brake cylinder, piston and seal.
1 - Dust cap
q   Fit onto bleeder valve
2 - Bleeder valve, 12 Nm
q   Before screwing in, grease thread with thin coat of lithium grease -G 052 150 A2-
3 - Brake caliper housing
4 - Seal for 32 mm piston
q   Removing and installing → Chapter
5 - Seal for 28 mm piston
q   Removing and installing → Chapter
6 - Piston, 32 mm
q   Removing and installing → Chapter
q   Apply a thin coat of lithium grease -G 052 150 A2- to piston
7 - Piston, 28 mm
q   Removing and installing → Chapter
q   Apply a thin coat of lithium grease -G 052 150 A2- to piston
8 - Protective cap for 32 mm piston
q   Do not damage when inserting piston
9 - Protective cap for 28 mm piston
q   Do not damage when inserting piston
10 - Support plate
11 - Hexagon socket head bolt, 6 Nm
12 - Connecting pipe, 17 Nm
