Indicated on display of vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system -VAS 5051A-:
t  Prompt for entering display group appears in display zone -1-.
t  Input keypad appears in display zone -2-.
–  Use input keypad in display zone -2- to enter “011” for display group number “011” and confirm by touching Q key.

t  Possible causes if display zone -1- indicates “Function unknown or cannot be implemented at present”:
t  Auxiliary heater had been switched on and is currently in “Run-on” mode.
t  Auxiliary heater control unit -J364- has received a message preventing actuation (e.g. insufficient fuel in tank) → Chapter (reading measured value block, display group 005).
t  Fault preventing actuation has been stored in auxiliary heater control unit -J364-.
t  To switch off heater, touch key and enter basic setting (display group number “033”) → Chapter.
t  If a fault occurs during the “Basic setting, heating on” function, the heater can only be started up again after switching it off by way of the “Basic setting, heating off” function.
t  If auxiliary heater operation is to be observed, touch key -3- to switch to “Reading measured value block” function. Touch key -4- to return to “Basic setting” function.

t  This display may also appear depending on version of vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system -VAS 5051A-. Heed the following:
t  Vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system -VAS 5051A- remains on switching from “Basic setting” function to “Reading measured value block” function and vice versa in display group indicated in zone -6-. This may lead to display zone -1- indicating “Function unknown or cannot be implemented at present” following switching.
t  Press key (“Return” arrow key).

t  Indicated on display of vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system -VAS 5051A-:
t  Use input keypad to enter desired display group number in display zone -2- and confirm by touching Q key.
t  If the link with the fault reader is lost with the auxiliary heater switched on, the auxiliary heater control unit -J364- automatically switches off the auxiliary heater.
t  In the event of excessive coolant temperature in the auxiliary heater (greater than approx. 70 °C e.g. with warm engine), the auxiliary heater can be operated by way of display group “022” for max. 10 minutes and up to a coolant temperature of 110 °C. Starting from control interval is possible.

t  Touch key to return to selection program.
t  Touching the keys -5- permits switching to a different display group.
t  Touching key -3- permits switching to a different function (e.g. from “Basic setting” to “Reading measured value block”). Touch key -4- to return to “Basic setting”.
