Draining ATF for ATF purging

Special tools and workshop equipment required

t	Multi-point bit -3357-

t	Used oil collection and extraction unit -V.A.G 1782-

Caution

Do not run engine or tow vehicle when there is no ATF in the gearbox.

l	Vehicle must be level (horizontal).

Note

Please observe requirements for disposal.

–	Release the fastening elements -2- and -3- and detach the rear noise insulation -B-.

Note

There are different types of noise insulation for the various vehicle models.

–	Place the used oil collection and extraction unit -V.A.G 1782- under the gearbox.

–	Unscrew ATF drain plug -A- with multi-point bit -3357- and drain off ATF.

–	Re-tighten ATF drain plug.

l	Tightening torque: 24 Nm
