Special tools and workshop equipment required
t  Support plate -VW 309-
t  Gearbox support -VW 353-
t  Engine/gearbox support -VW 540-
t  Engine/gearbox support -VAS 6095-

   
Securing gearbox in vertical position
–  Screw the gearbox support -VW 353- to the gearbox using the bolts -1- and -2-.
–  Screw the support plate -VW 309- to the gearbox support -VW 353-.

–  Insert the gearbox with the workshop hoist -VAS 6100- in the engine/gearbox support -VAS 6095-.

Securing gearbox in horizontal position
–  Screw the engine/gearbox support -VW 540- to the gearbox -arrows-.
–  Insert the gearbox with the workshop hoist -VAS 6100- in the engine/gearbox support -VAS 6095-.
