Removing and installing oil pump
   
Removing
–  Remove sump → Chapter.
–  Remove circlip -1- with circlip pliers.
–  Screw in an M3 screw -2- and pull drive shaft out of oil pump -arrow-.
–  Unscrew bolt -4- and detach intake connecting pipe from oil pump.
–  Unscrew bolts -3- and -5- and remove oil pump.
  Caution
The bolt on the idler gear must NOT be loosened.
Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:

t  Renew O-ring.
t  Renew circlip if damaged or stretched.
t  Circlip must fit securely in groove.
–  Make sure both dowel sleeves are in place before installing oil pump.
–  Install sump → Chapter.
