1 - Poly V-belt
q   Check for wear
q   Before removing, mark direction of rotation with chalk or felt-tipped pen. If the belt runs in the opposite direction when it is refitted, this can cause breakage.
q   Removing and installing → Chapter
q   When installing, make sure it is properly seated on pulleys.
q   Routing of poly V-belt → 
2 - Vibration damper
q   With pulley for poly V-belt
q   Can only be installed in one position
q   Removing and installing → Chapter
3 - 10 Nm + turn 90° further
q   Renew
4 - Cover cap for vibration damper
5 - 23 Nm
6 - Pulley for power steering pump
q   Counterhold with drift to unbolt
7 - Poly V-belt tensioner
q   Use locking pin -T10060 A- to lock tensioner.
q   Removing and installing → Chapter
8 - Dowel sleeve
q   Ensure correct seating in bracket
9 - Not fitted
10 - Not fitted
11 - Bracket for ancillaries
q   Removing and installing → Chapter
12 - 23 Nm
13 - Alternator
q   Removing and installing → Electrical system; Rep. Gr.27
q   To facilitate attachment of alternator, knock back threaded bushes for securing bolts slightly
14 - 23 Nm
15 - 23 Nm
16 - Power steering pump
q   Removing and installing → Rep. Gr.48
q   To facilitate attachment of power steering pump, knock back threaded bush for securing bolt slightly
17 - 45 Nm
q   Observe correct tightening sequence → Fig.
18 - Dowel sleeve
q   2x
q   Ensure correct seating in bracket
19 - Air conditioner compressor
q   Do not unscrew or disconnect refrigerant hoses or pipes.
q   Removing and installing → Rep. Gr.87
q   When installing check dowel sleeves -item 18-
20 - 25 Nm
21 - 23 Nm
22 - Idler roller for poly V-belt
q   Note installation position → Fig.
23 - 20 Nm + turn 90° further
q   Renew
24 - Cover cap for idler roller

q   For alternator, power steering pump and air conditioner compressor
4 - Alternator
5 - Power steering pump
6 - Idler roller

Tightening sequence for bracket for ancillaries
l  When installing, pay attention to dowel sleeve at top right between bracket and cylinder block.
–  Tighten bolts -1 … 6- hand-tight.
–  Tighten the bolts to 45 Nm in the sequence -1 … 6-.

Installation position of idler roller
l  The side with the collar -arrow 1- faces the bolt, the flat side -arrow 2- faces the bracket.
