Removing
–  Vehicles with auxiliary heater: remove bolts -arrows- securing exhaust pipe for auxiliary/additional heater to noise insulation.

–  Open quick-release fasteners -1 … 3- and take off front and rear noise insulation.

–  Remove noise insulation -1- in wheel housing (right-side).

–  Loosen bolts -1 … 3- and remove bracket (front) for front exhaust pipe.

–  Remove temperature sender after particulate filter -G527--item 2-.
–  Remove bolt -1- and pivot bracket (rear) for front exhaust pipe.
  Note
  A26-10170
Do not bend the flexible joint (de-coupling element) in the exhaust system more than 10°, otherwise it could be damaged.
–  Loosen clamp -arrow- and push to rear.
–  Remove front exhaust pipe.
Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:

t  Renew gaskets and self-locking nuts.
t  Mounting components → Chapter
–  Install temperature sender after particulate filter -G527- → Chapter.
–  Align exhaust system so it is free of stress → Chapter.
