Removing and installing roller rocker fingers
Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Tool set for FSI engines -T10133-
Removing
l  Cylinder head removed.
l  Camshafts removed.

–  To aid assembly, mark the allocation of the roller rocker fingers and the shafts for the fingers.
–  Pull shaft for roller rocker fingers -1- (inlet side) out of cylinder head using puller -T10133/3-.
–  Remove roller rocker fingers.
–  Remove bolts -4- and -5-.
–  Pull shaft -3- for roller rocker fingers (exhaust side) out of cylinder head.
Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:

Fit new O-rings -2-.
–  Lubricate the bearings of the roller rocker fingers before installing.
Tightening torques
  A15-0952

l  1) Apply locking fluid when installing; refer to → Electronic parts catalogue for locking fluid.
