Removing and installing exhaust manifold
Removing and installing exhaust manifold
   
Removing
–  Remove turbocharger: engine codes BLB, BNA, BRE, BVF, BVG → Chapter, engine codes BRD, BVA → Chapter.
–  Detach heat shield from exhaust manifold -arrows-.
  A21-0190
–  Unscrew all nuts -arrows- on exhaust manifold.
–  Detach exhaust manifold.
Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:

Renew gaskets and self-locking nuts.
–  Install turbocharger: engine codes BLB, BNA, BRE, BVF, BVG → Chapter, engine codes BRD, BVA → Chapter.
–  Align exhaust system so it is free of stress: vehicles without particulate filter → Chapter, vehicles with particulate filter → Chapter.
Tightening torques

l  1) Renew nuts.
l  2) Coat with high-temperature paste; for high-temperature paste refer to → Electronic parts catalogue
