Removing and installing viscous fan Special tools and workshop equipment required

t  Open-end spanner -3312-

Removing –  Pull off engine cover panel -arrows-. –  Pull off bonnet seal at lock carrier.

–  Release fasteners -arrows- and remove toothed belt cover (left-side).

–  Remove viscous fan (32 mm).

Installing Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following: –  Use open-end spanner -3312- to secure viscous fan.

Tightening torque for viscous fan	Nm
Torque wrench -V.A.G 1331- together with open-end spanner -3312-	37
Torque wrench -V.A.G 1332- without open-end spanner -3312-	70
