t  Hand vacuum pump with accessories -V.A.G 1390-

Test sequence
–  Pull off engine cover panel -arrows-.
  A34-0371
–  Detach vacuum hose at mechanical exhaust gas recirculation valve -arrow-.
  A26-0214
–  Connect hand vacuum pump -V.A.G 1390- to exhaust gas recirculation valve.
–  Operate vacuum pump.
–  Detach hose of hand pump at exhaust gas recirculation valve.
l  The closing of the valve should be clearly audible. The diaphragm rod should move towards the intake manifold.
