Removing
  Note
All cable ties which are released or cut open when removing must be fitted in the same position when installing.
–  Remove front right wheel → Rep. Gr.44.
–  Release quick-release fasteners -1-, unscrew bolts -2- and detach noise insulation.

–  Unbolt heat shield -1- for drive shaft (right-side).
–  Unbolt drive shaft from flange shaft on gearbox.

–  Unscrew securing bolts -4- and -5- (bottom) at combination valve for secondary air system (right-side).
  Note
t  Shown in illustration from rear with engine removed.
t  Disregard items marked -1 ... 3-.

–  Pull off engine cover panel (rear) -arrows-.

Rest-of-world vehicles:
–  Detach vacuum line -2- at air intake hose.
–  Disconnect hose -4- for crankcase breather system from air hose by pressing release tabs.
–  Open hose clips -1- and -3- and disconnect air intake hose.
USA models:
–  Detach vacuum line -2- from air intake hose.
–  Open hose clips -1- and -3- and move air intake hose to one side.
  Caution
Do not open hose connection -4- on USA models.

All vehicles (continued):
–  Remove bolt -2-.
–  Press release tabs and disconnect vacuum hose -3- and air hose -1- from combination valve for secondary air system (right-side).
–  Detach combination valve for secondary air system together with connecting pipe.

t  Shown in illustration from rear with engine removed.
t  Disregard items marked -4- and -5-.
Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:
  Note
t  Renew gaskets, seals and O-rings.
t  Secure all hose connections with the correct type of hose clips (same as original equipment) → Electronic parts catalogue.
t  Fit all cable ties in the original positions when installing.
–  Fit front wheel → Rep. Gr.44.
–  Check coolant level → Anchor.
