Removing and installing intake manifold flap motor -V157- with intake manifold flap potentiometer -G336-
For fitting location of intake manifold flap motor -V157-, refer to exploded view of intake manifold → Chapter.
Special tools and workshop equipment required
t  Standard 1/4 inch ratchet
   
t  Torx insert 30
Removing
–  Remove engine cover panel → Chapter.

–  Unbolt coolant expansion tank -arrow-.
  A10-10321
–  Open top hose clip on charge air hose -2- and disconnect charge air hose from throttle valve module -J338-.

–  Remove bolt -1- from coolant pipe.
–  Open cable ties securing wiring harness at coolant pipe.

–  Unbolt bracket -arrows- from coolant pipe.
–  Carefully pry off linkage from intake manifold flap motor -V157--4-.
–  Unplug all electrical connectors as required and push coolant pipe to one side so that you can access bolts on intake manifold flap motor -V157-.

–  Unbolt intake manifold flap motor -V157--5-.

The illustration shows the intake manifold flap motor -V157- with the intake manifold removed.
Installing
–  Install in reverse order.
