t  Vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system -VAS 5051B-
  Note
If the fuel pump is renewed on vehicles with 4-cylinder TFSI engine, the fuel pump should be adapted to the engine control unit in order to check repair work.
Procedure
l  Vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system -VAS 5051B- connected.
l  No faults stored in fault memory.
l  Engine running at idling speed.

Display on -VAS 5051B-:
–  From menu -1-, select “Self diagnosis” system and press key to activate function.

–  From menu -1-, select vehicle system “01 - Engine electronics” and press key to activate function.

–  From menu -1-, select function “006 - Basic setting” and press key to activate function.

–  Press keys 103 on keypad -1- to select “Display group 103” and confirm entry by pressing key Q.

–  Activate basic setting by touching Activate key -A-.
Display on -VAS 5051B-:
–  Check information shown in display zone -4-.
Indicated on display: “ADP runs”. When the fuel pump has been successfully adapted, the display will show “ADP OK”.
  Note
If display shows “ADP n.OK”: check fault memory.
–  End function “006 - Basic setting” by pressing key.
–  Select diagnostic function “022 - End output”.
–  Switch off ignition and unplug diagnostic connector.
